In 1928, Juan Torres Casals, second generation, began the development of vintage brandy aged in oak from the best white wines of Penedès (Barcelona). The work of Juan Torres was soon recognized and his brandies became synonymous of quality. Today, the constant search for excellence transcends with people like Matías Llobet, Master Distiller for thirty years. Brandy is a protagonist in the most selected bars in the cities of the whole world due to its versatility and unquestionable quality.
Jaime I is made with the traditional Distillation of Parellada wines, which are subsequently aged in American oak casks. We combine several soleras or parent brandies, chosen from among the oldest in the cellar.
Product Type | Cognac & Brandy |
Style | Original Brandy |
ABV | 40% |
Age | 30 year |
Country | Spain |
Noble dark mahogany in color.
The nose offers aromas of dried fruit and nuts (toasted hazelnut) with hints of vanilla and toffee.
Round and smooth on the palate.
The spiced, sensual power imparted by oak aging distinguishes this very old brandy. Impressive persistence and balance.
2 oz | Jamie I |
Full Glass | Ice cubes |
1 | We will need two glasses: One of them will be full of ice with very cold water. We will use it to refresh and prepare the palate. |
2 | In another glass we will serve 2 oz of Jaime I. |
3 | We refresh the palate with ice water and even with the last drops of water on our palate we start with a small sip of Jaime I, so that at the beginning they mix a little both, enhancing the tasting experience. |
