Beyond the Label
Double-rested for unmatched taste. Herradura Double Barrel Reposado is the product of a novel, two-step aging process. The first involves resting the tequila in charred American white oak barrels for 11 months. It's then moved to new charred barrels and aged for an additional 30 days. This creates a rich, dark amber-colored liquid and a smooth yet complex flavor profile not found in any other Reposado, with hints of cooked agave, vanilla, allspice, clove, and oak.
From Kati Alexander, Topflight Panel Member:
Tequila Herradura boasts one of the longest-standing legacies of any Tequila producer, dating back to 1870. Not only does Tequila Herradura hold a rich history of craftsmanship, but they are also responsible for producing the first-ever Reposado Tequila. Our team jumped at the opportunity to select our own barrel and our own slice of history. This Double Barrel-aged Reposado is a beautiful, vibrant amber gold with a soft and subtle aroma that almost teases you to explore more. Subtle hints of orange marmalade and Werther's Original candies kiss the nose before tasting. This softness continues into the tasting experience with one of the silkiest and most delicate expressions of Reposado I've had! Flavors of charred pineapple are followed by lime juice-coated pears, a hint of cream, and a medium finish. This Reposado is dangerously easy-drinking and delicate — ideal for premium cocktails and sipping. Snag yours before it sells out and enjoy a taste of history!
