The Macallan Double Cask 12

The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old is 100% sherry-seasoned and 100% natural color, in keeping with The Macallan's tradition, yet unique in the fact that it is defined by the unmistakeable prominence of an American oak style. The Macallan brings new oak from America across thousands of miles to Spain, where casks are crafted and sherry-seasoned before traveling to the distillery in Speyside, where they are filled and matured for at least 12 years. These whiskies are then harmoniously united with those aged for at least 12 years in exceptional sherry-seasoned European oak casks.

The delicate flavor of American oak - vanilla, citrus, and light oak - rises in prominence as the traditional Macallan European oak character of dried fruit, sherry and wood spice affords a familiar foundation. Suitable for all occasions, Double Cask 12 Years Old will appeal to existing and new Macallan drinkers alike. The fresh and approachable character of Double Cask 12 Years Old also serves as the perfect complement to its slightly more robust counterpart, the Sherry Oak 12 Years Old.

Highland Park 12

Highland Park’s uncompromising approach to making single malt Scotch whisky manifests itself in the rich, well balanced malty tones and the subtle floral smoke of the 12 Year Old. Aged exclusively in 100 percent Oloroso sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, Highland Park 12 Year Old’s incomparable balance of smoky and sweet comes from the aromatic Orcadian peat and sherry oak casks used during the malting and maturation processes respectively. Highland Park 12 Year Old was awarded 96/100 and the Tried and True Award at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2016. 

The Glenrothes 12

Matured only in sherry seasoned oak casks and bottled at natural color, the 12 Year Old is the epitome of the Glenrothes distillery style with its rich and beautifully rounded character of vanilla, melon, and cinnamon.
