Speyside whiskies are known to be fruity and floral, but as the bad boy of Speyside Craigellachie defies with its oil fired, rich character. Craigellachie 13 is matured in a mixture of both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The bourbon casks bring vanilla, toffee and fudge notes to the fore, and the sherry casks provide richness and complexity.

Innovative gentlemen with distilling backgrounds, Alexander Edward and Peter Mackie built the distillery on land they bought from Edward’s father in 1891.
At Craigellachie, we still choose to do things the old fashioned way, even if it’s more challenging, because it’s the right way for us. That’s why we still use old fashioned worm tubs in our distillation process and are the only ones to oil fire our malt. This gives our whisky a more muscular flavour than others. - Combine the Craigellachie 13, Pineapple Syrup and Bokers Bitters in the bottom of an 'Old Fashioned' Glass.
- Add a block of ice.
- Stir around 15 - 20 times until perfectly diluted, chilled and mixed.
- Squeeze oils from lemon zest onto the drink and around the glass, twist and place on top.
