Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2011
Unpeated Islay Single Malt, made exclusively from 100% local Islay grain. Islay barley was Bruichladdich’s earliest introduction to the Distillery’s intense focus on ingredients transparency. Cultivated in rotation with 17 different farms on the island, each regional Islay Barley release showcases the influence of a merciless Atlantic environment on Islay-grown grain.
Our Islay barley series has always been a mission. For many years now we’ve sought to showcase the phenomenon of “terroir” in single malt whisky – the belief that soil, climate, micro-climate, geographic orientation, natural influences and local weather systems will influence the quality and flavor profile of the spirit, making it a unique expression of ‘place’. Bruichladdich Islay barley 2011 is distilled from barley grown on six western and central Islay farms in 2010.
El Caballero KIT
This kit features all the nonalcoholic ingredients for the El Caballero cocktail from Shaker & Spoon's Scotchtember Box. This drink trots into town with cooling nuttiness and an alluring hint of decadence.
Includes date syrup, chicory pecan bitters, cacao sugar, coconut water, and a recipe card. Just add your favorite aged spirit—although originally created for low- to no-peat Scotch whisky, El Caballero can transform any of your favorite aged spirits into a vessel for a tropical paradise getaway. Makes 4 full-sized drinks, with some ingredients left over.
