Winery Notes
This wine is a rare gem, made with a single varietal of Carignan Blanc grapes macerated for 6 months in concrete. Combines toasty notes of cider with stone fruit and herbs, best enjoyed with luscious, creamy, and nutty dishes.
Tasting Notes
Herbaceous, cider, stone fruit.
Vineyard Notes
Domaine Les Terres Promises — translated as “The Promised Lands”—is a small organic winery residing in the back country of Provence, France, at an altitude of 400 meters. Carignan Blanc grapes are known to be a difficult variety to work with, but winemaker Jean-Christophe makes it look easy with exceptionally tasting wines. Driven by a passion for sustainable and environmentally conscious winemaking, the vines are nourished through biodynamic techniques in tandem with the natural elements. From the vineyards to the cellar, grapes are treated with the same concern to preserve their flavor and freshness. A simple taste of his Orange wine leaves no room for doubting its unique character and bold flavors tied to the terroir.
Winemaking Notes
Biodynamic. Indigenous yeast. 3 weeks maceration in concrete. Aged for 1 year.
