To sell well on ReserveBar this holiday season, a brand needs four things in place by early November: stock at the licensed retailers that fill ReserveBar orders, gift-ready products such as engravable bottles and gift sets, ship-by dates its fans can trust, and a spot where gift shoppers will see the bottle. This guide covers each one, using the shipping and engraving times we give shoppers on ReserveBar.com.
ReserveBar has sold spirits, wine and Champagne online since 2013. Every order is sold and fulfilled by a licensed retail partner under the three-tier system. What a shopper can buy depends on what the retailers serving their address have in stock. So holiday planning starts with stock.
What are the key holiday dates for 2026?
Early November. Moment: Gift shopping starts. What it means on ReserveBar: The Holiday Edit and gift collections are live. Corporate buyers start sending bulk orders to our Concierge team.
Thu Nov 26. Moment: Thanksgiving. What it means on ReserveBar: Orders placed on a holiday are processed the next business day.
Fri Nov 27 to Mon Nov 30. Moment: Black Friday to Cyber Monday. What it means on ReserveBar: Busiest gift weekend. Weekend orders are processed on Monday.
Tue Dec 1. Moment: Last day for engraved Christmas gifts. What it means on ReserveBar: Engraving adds processing time, so this cutoff comes first.
Fri Dec 4 (evening). Moment: Hanukkah begins. What it means on ReserveBar: For the first night, order shipped gifts early or use same-day delivery where a local retailer offers it.
Tue Dec 8. Moment: Last day for standard shipped Christmas gifts. What it means on ReserveBar: Applies to bottles in stock at a retailer that ships to the address.
Thu Dec 24. Moment: Christmas Eve. What it means on ReserveBar: Same-day delivery, where available, covers last-minute gifts.
Thu Dec 31. Moment: New Year's Eve. What it means on ReserveBar: Same-day delivery for parties. Champagne and sparkling wine peak.
How do ReserveBar order cutoffs work?
There is no single cutoff for every bottle. Each one is counted back from how long the retailer takes to pack and ship, plus carrier time. These are the timings we publish to shoppers:
Standard shipped orders: most ship in 1 to 2 business days and arrive in 5 to 7 business days.
Engraved orders: engraving can take up to 10 business days before the order ships. Plan on the longer window.
Back orders and limited items: usually ship in 7 to 10 business days, because the retailer has to get the product from the distributor first.
Pre-orders: ship when the product reaches each market. There is no guaranteed date.
All shipped orders go by ground, with pickups and deliveries on weekdays. Orders placed on a weekend or holiday are processed the next business day, and shoppers can't pay extra for expedited shipping. We post the exact 2026 Christmas cutoffs on ReserveBar.com: standard orders by Tuesday, December 8, engraved orders by Tuesday, December 1.
If you send your fans to buy your bottles on ReserveBar, use these same dates in your emails and social posts. Don't promise Christmas delivery past them.
Why does retailer stock decide holiday sales?
The retailer holds the inventory, not ReserveBar. If the retailers that serve a state run out of your bottle, shoppers in that state see it as unavailable, or it becomes a back order that ships in 7 to 10 business days. In mid-December, that can mean missing Christmas.
Check depth before Thanksgiving. Ask your distributors to make sure retailers that fill ReserveBar orders have holiday stock of your top SKUs.
Tell us about limited releases early. We work with brand partners on pre-orders for new, exclusive and limited products, which lets shoppers buy before the product lands in each market.
Watch the gift box. Some retailers receive bottles from their distributor without the manufacturer's box. Gift buyers notice. If the box matters, raise it with your distributors.
On price: the brand sets wholesale and a suggested retail price, and the licensed retailer that fills the order sets the final retail price. That is why the same bottle can show different prices from different retailers.
How should brands use engraving?
Shoppers can add a personal message to engravable bottles on ReserveBar for a flat $50 per bottle. Top Shelf members get 50% off engraving. Engraved bottles are grouped in Custom Engraved Gifts, which is a natural place for gift shoppers to start.
Tell us which SKUs can be engraved, and any rules for your bottles. Some brands, for example, do not allow profanity on their bottles, and we cancel those orders.
Push engraving early. Engraved gifts need the earlier cutoff, so feature them in November, not the week before Christmas.
Corporate buyers engrave logos. Our Concierge team handles logo engraving on bulk orders of 12 or more bottles.
Do gift sets help?
A gift set gives the shopper a finished gift in one click. ReserveBar has a Gift Sets collection alongside barware and glassware. A bottle packed with glasses by the producer moves through distribution like any other SKU, so retailers can stock it and fill orders for it. Make sure your distributors order holiday packs early enough to reach retailers before Thanksgiving week. Accessories that are sold separately can ship apart from the bottle, so tell shoppers that in your own posts if it applies.
Where can brands appear on ReserveBar during the holidays?
The Holiday Edit, our holiday gift guide, with billboard, tout and product scroller spots.
The Cocktail Lounge, with holiday cocktail recipes that link to your bottle.
ReserveBar emails and text messages to holiday gift shoppers.
Homepage and collection page spots.
Minibar Delivery (minibardelivery.com), for same-day orders in cities where local retailers stock your bottles.
Holiday spots are limited and holiday months carry higher rates, so ask early. Eligible brands can get introductory advertising credit on ReserveBar.com and Minibar, based on plan terms and product category. Our sister company AccelPay explains how that works on its ReserveBar advertising page. To ask about open spots, email [email protected].
What about last-minute gifts?
Where a local retailer offers it, ReserveBar same-day delivery arrives in two hours or less for most orders, and shoppers can schedule a delivery up to two weeks ahead. That covers Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve after the shipping cutoffs pass. Same-day only works where a nearby retailer has your bottle on the shelf, so metro stock matters most in the last two weeks of December.
Selling from your own website too?
If you also sell from your own website, our sister company AccelPay's holiday and corporate gifting guide covers bundles, gift messages and ship-by dates for brand sites.
