Created out of a desire for a Tequila so delicious that it could be sipped like the best Scotch and Cognac in the world, Cincoro has skyrocketed in the spirits world for its high-end yet approachable taste profile. Each expression is designed to be sipped neat, but the Blanco and Reposado add an incredible punch of flavor to cocktails. “Tequila is no longer just for margaritas,” said Emilia Fazzalari, Co-Founder and CEO of Cincoro, in our recent Behind the Brand interview. “Of course, there is a time and place for a good Blanco margarita, and we have some great cocktail recipes.”

We teamed up with Chris Spake, VP Brand-Trade Development with Cincoro, to share some of our favorite cocktails that are perfect for warm summer days. Naturally, we included cocktails with their Blanco expression, a perennial go-to for most sunshine lovers. Cincoro takes it a step further with their Blanco than most — the fresh agave notes you expect are further enhanced by a pronounced citrus palate and finished with the surprising (and delightful) flavors of mint and light coconut.

While Reposado is often thought of as an expression for cooler months, think fall leaves and warm baking spices, I dare you to try it in a summer cocktail. You’ll be stunned at how well Cincoro’s Reposado plays with more summery flavors — think juicy citrus and spicy ginger. The flavors of dried fruit and baking spices add depth and complexity to otherwise simple flavors.

CINCORO BLANCO HIGH FIVE

Cincoro Blanco has a sweeter cooked agave note with a hint of citrus, making it a delightful complement for this summer refresher featuring peach liqueur and ginger beer. A perfect match for poolside socializing.

Combine all ingredients into a shaker, add ice, and shake hard until ingredients are just chilled and combined. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass, and garnish with a peach or lime wedge.

CINCORO BLANCO AGUA FRESCA DE SANDIA

This cocktail was inspired by Cincoro’s Blanco Tequila and how well it mixes with fresh fruit. The juicy watermelon mixed with lime and the sweet agave notes makes this a cocktail you can sip on the beach, after mowing the lawn, or binging the latest streaming hit.

  • 2 oz. Cincoro Blanco
  • 2 oz. Fresh watermelon juice
  • ½ oz. Fresh lime juice
  • ¼ oz. Rich simple syrup*
  • Lime or watermelon wedge (garnish)

Combine all ingredients into a shaker, add ice, and shake vigorously until ingredients are chilled. Strain into a highball rimmed with kosher salt. Top with ice, garnish with lime or watermelon wedge and serve.

*To make the Rich Simple Syrup: Combine 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar is fully dissolved, but do not boil. Take off heat and cool to room temperature. Label, date, and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

CINCORO BLANCO PALOMA FRESCA

This may be surprising to some, but the Paloma is the most popular drink in Mexico, not the Margarita. Cincoro’s flavor profile of lime and grapefruit adds a refreshing taste to this twist on the classic Paloma. You’ll be sipping this one all summer long.

  • 1 ½ oz. Cincoro Blanco
  • 1 oz. Fresh grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz. Fresh lime juice
  • ¾ oz. Grapefruit Liqueur
  • ¼ oz. Aperol
  • Grapefruit soda (to top)
  • Lime wedge (garnish)

Add everything except soda to a shaker and top with ice. Shake until chilled and combined. Strain into a highball rimmed with kosher salt and top with ice. Finish by adding grapefruit soda and garnish with a lime wedge. Serve.

CINCORO REPOSADO DIABLO

The toasted oak and vanilla spice notes from Cincoro Reposado play well in this blend of ginger beer and Crème de Cassis, which features notes of black currant, creating a perfectly balanced summer cocktail. If you love Moscow Mules, this cocktail is a fantastic way to introduce more complex flavors to this classic cocktail that pairs nicely with your summer BBQs.

  • 2 oz. Cincoro Reposado
  • ½ oz. Fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz. Crème de Cassis
  • 3 oz. Spicy Ginger Beer (to top)
  • Lime wedge (garnish)

Add all ingredients except ginger beer to a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.

CINCORO REPOSADO OLD FASHIONED

Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy an Old Fashioned. This build perfectly accentuates the beautiful cooked agave and spice notes found in Cincoro Reposado. It’s easy to craft in glass, making this the perfect cocktail to kickstart Happy Hour or date night on the beach.

Add all ingredients to a rocks glass and stir. Add a large ice cube and gently stir to chill. Express an orange peel over the drink and drop it into the glass as a garnish. Serve.

After diving into these cocktails, you may want to try something a little more easygoing. Lucky for you, Cincoro was crafted as a sipping Tequila. We recommend trying a flight, starting with the Blanco, then moving to the Reposado and finally the Añejo. You’ll find that each expression carries the distinct flavors of cooked agave and vanilla, while the complexity of the spirit increases with age, similar to your favorite bourbon. In fact, when the seasons start to change, you might just find yourself reaching for the Reposado for your Old Fashioned and Toddy builds. No matter how you serve it, Cincoro is meant to be shared — so grab your friends and savor the moment together!
