Telmont Rare Vinothèque 1985 - Main
      Telmont Rare Vinothèque 1985

      Beyond the Label

The threat of frost throughout winter and spring subsided as a warm late-summer sun provided ideal ripening conditions in advance of the 1985 harvest. The 1985 year, though capricious to start, allowed this resulting vintage champagne to conserve a beautiful acidity and exhibit a rare aromatic quality.

A sweetness on the nose evokes aromas of date and dried jujube. Lactic notes intertwine with lively sensations of apricot and prune compote on the palate. The rounder notes of baked fruit delicately evolve toward lighter aromas reminiscent of honeydew melon. Pleasantly acidic and beautifully balanced, a wine to appreciate in its complexity.
