CELEBRATING WOMEN IN THE MEZCAL INDUSTRY - Se Busca’s inspiration comes from the brave women who fought and broke through cultural barriers during the Mexican Revolution of 1910-1920. Eleana Nuñez oversees production and export, Doña Mary and Doña Yuri participate in the Fermentation process, Azucena leads the bottling and Diana our lead chemist is in charge of the liquid profile.
AGED FOR AT LEAST 12 MONTHS – in French Oak ex-Sherry casks enhancing an amazing palette of flavors.
HANDCRAFTED AND ARTISANAL SMALL BATCH MEXICAN MEZCAL - produced at the family-run Lopez Sosa distillery in San Juan del Rio, Oaxaca, Mexico, and made with hand-harvested 100% Espadin agave and ultra-pure water sourced from a local mountain spring located near the distillery.
A UNIQUE ROASTING METHOD - unlike other mezcals, our roasting methods diverge because we use indirect heat to slowly-roast the fresh picked agave that is then crushed by a Tahona stone driven by our horses, allowing the flavor of the agave to not be overpowered by the smoke.
ECO-RESPONSIBLE APPROACH - we only source sustainably sourced agaves, and our proprietary roasting method allows us to use up to 70% less wood compared to the traditional cooking method. Se Busca has a soil conservation program, replanting the agaves we use and teaching local communities sustainable farming techniques.
Delicious on the rocks or in a new twist in classic whiskey cocktails.
