The Penner-Ash Willamette Valley Chardonnay is sourced from four distinct sites across the region’s diverse AVAs. The Zena Crown and Kindred Vineyards represent Eola-Amity Hills, comprising 40% of the blend, while Maple Grove Vineyard to the south of Eola-Amity makes up half of the blend. The final 10% is sourced from White Walnut Vineyard in the Dundee Hills. Together these sites present a wine driven by bright acidity overlaid on a solid foundation of fruit. This wine aged for 10 months in 24% new French oak barrels, offering notes of poached pear, crisp apricot, wet slate, and a hint of light toasted oak.
