      Tasting Notes
Our 2019 vintage of Bear Track Vineyard Cabernet is a testament to the hillside terroir where it is grown. With the first swirl of the glass, the wine opens with aromas of blue and black fruit and subtle floral notes. On the palate, fruit flavors of blueberry, blackberry and black cassis pair with classic Napa Valley notes of sage and black olive tapenade. This is a wine that will continue to develop complexity and intrigue as it ages.

      Vintage Notes
The 2019 growing season began with late spring rains during flowering and fruit set. Cover crops between the vines flourished, putting rich nutrients into our soils. Our fruit set itself was lighter than usual, resulting in exceptional concentration and retention of flavor and aromas in our clusters. Mild fall temperatures allowed fruit to mature fully, without being overly tannic nor overly ripe. 2019 was an excellent vintage overall that will continue to impress wine lovers and collectors for years to come.

      Vineyard Notes
Bear Track Vineyard is planted in three terraced blocks on the eastern hillsides of Napa Valley, just outside of the Howell Mountain AVA. The cool climate and iron-rich, volcanic ash soils result in small, tight clusters of concentrated fruit. Ample hang time before harvest yields a Cabernet Sauvignon with intense, dark fruit flavors and integrated tannins.
