Alexandra Rosé, a rarely made vintage rosé from Laurent-Perrier, was first released in 1982. It is crafted in an unusual way, with pinot noir and chardonnay grapes harvested at the same time and co-fermented together. Aged for over a decade in our cellars, the result is an intricately woven and rich champagne unlike any other. The 2004 vintage is only the seventh release of Alexandra Rosé in history of the House.
The highest quality grapes - 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay - are harvested, hand-sorted, destemmed, macerated, and fermented together. Exclusively grand cru fruit is used in the blend, including Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, Verzenay, and Bouzy; and Chardonnay from Avize, Cramant, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. It received a 96pt rating from Vinous.
Alexandra Rosé 2004 comes in a beautiful wooden gift box.
An unusual amber-pink with glints of salmon and a fine mousse.
Very complex, with hints of wild strawberries, redcurrant jam and candied citrus accented by autolytic notes.
The apogee of finesse and elegance, Alexandra Rosé 2004 has a soft and vinous texture that expands on the palate. The initial impression of berries gives way to exotic spices and savory notes.
Alexandra Rosé is a taste experience unto itself, but also complements luxurious dishes such as lobster, foie gras, and truffles.
