Made in the birthplace of distilling, this iconic Islay malt is intense and smoky, steeped in history and lore for over two hundred years. On the nose, a smokiness with charcoal and fragrant peat, backed by a clean fresh base note of sea air and mineral scents. The taste is sweet to start, then a lemony acidity and light sea salt add freshness, ending with a salty-smoky intensity. This medium-bodied spirit has a long, peat-smoke finish. For an elegantly simple drink, serve in a whisky glass neat or with a dash of water to sweeten but still taste the smoky intensity.
