A rare, superior Tennessee Whisky and a one-of-a-kind liquid experience! Over the years, Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. has carefully set aside a limited number of casks holding their most precious and richly complex George Dickel Tennessee Whisky. While no two casks are the same, and each will vary in taste, you can expect a rich and complex liquid in every bottle. The variability that makes single barrel spirits so special is strongly expressed in these older liquids, with the influence of slight variations in their aging conditions growing over time. The color will be dark, rich leather brown from the many years spent in new American Oak.
From Lee Diaz, Topflight Series Panel Member:
Did you know that George Dickel has only one approved age statement label for barrels between 15 to 20 years? It is this very 15YO label in this picture. That means there is often an even older Tennessee whiskey in that bottle, which is absolutely the case with this Topflight Series release S1B43. Having been barreled on January 27, 2004, and bottled on December 14, 2021, there is a delightful hidden secret within this 15YO package to behold — it's actually a 17.5 year old release. And this is a secret that won't stay that way for long. This pour starts with a deep amber hue and a nose full of toasted marshmallow, vanilla, and hazelnut. From the first sip, you will continue enjoying that nuttiness blended with cloves, brown sugar, and toasted oak. The finish is this delightfully light blend of sweet and tannic — undoubtedly due to the influence of those 18 years in that barrel. This is revealed in notes reminiscent of syrup and leather. Don't sleep on this release.
