FEW Single Barrel Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon S1B28 - Main
FEW Single Barrel Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon S1B28

      Beyond the Label

FEW grain-to-glass bourbon recipes with a mash bill of 70% corn, 20% rye, and 10% malted barley and fermented with a special, peppery yeast commonly used for saison beer. Aged for a minimum of 4 years at 50% ABV and bottled under the guidelines of the U.S. Bottled in Bond Act of 1897.

From Lee Diaz, Topflight Series Panel Member:

While we have had the opportunity to curate some incredible selections from some truly storied distilleries, I have eagerly awaited the release of this single-barrel Bottled in Bond bourbon from FEW. BiB releases should be held in high esteem because they uphold the critical standards of the US Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, which helped formalize how bourbon was made and ensure basic protections for those ready to enjoy the spirit within the bottle. FEW Single Barrel Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon S1B28, coming to us at 100.00 Proof, holds nothing back. The nose is bold with corn sweetness, stone fruit, malted chocolate, oak, and a hint of that 20% rye coming through. At first sip, I discovered vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and baking spices, including clove and cinnamon. The finish lingers with more of a drying sensation, revealing walnut cake, hints of leather, and rye spice. At 100-proof, this is an incredibly balanced and flavorful pour that you can easily enjoy neat or on a rock. Whether FEW is new to you or a long-time favorite, this selection deserves a spot on your bar.
