      Winery Notes
The vibrancy of Aurélien Verdet’s wines reflects his personal passion and commitment to organic winemaking. As the third generation of his family to grow grapes in Burgundy, his approach reflects an inherited conscience from his father, Alain, who was a pioneer in organic viticulture and winemaking. Continuing the commitment to sustainable and organic practices, his wines capture the authenticity of their terroir and deliver purity, finesses and elegance. From his villages wines to his premiers crus wines, Aurélien captures the distinctive flavors of origin with lively fruit expression, bright acids and fine tannins. The wines are made in a style that is both accessible when young, yet will age gracefully for years. From Verdet’s estate of 1.2 acres.

      Tasting Notes
Beautiful sweet aromas of ripe berries and tea leaf. On the palate you get raspberry and boysenberries with hints of spice. A concentrated palate with a pleasing finish.

      Winemaking Notes
The fruit is hand picked and hand sorted at the winery, followed by a cold maceration of 5 to 10 days. He uses only native yeast for the primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks, then gravity transfers the wine to be pressed and placed into small oak barrels for native malolactic fermentation and aging. Throughout winemaking, sulfur additions are kept to an absolute minimum and there is never any fining or filtration done before bottling.
