      Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009

      Beyond the Label

The embodiment of fruit. Warm, dry and sunny, the summer of 2009 was emblematic of this vintage, Where the grapes expressed their full majesty, maturity and richness. The assemblage accompanies this fulfillment, tracing the contours of a Complete wine, like a perfect sphere. It reveals dom pérignon rosé vintage 2009 exactly as it is, intimate and Caressing, a true embodiment of fruit

Age: matured at least 12 years in the cellar

      Vintage Notes

The year began with a lengthy stretch of unfavorable conditions.

Winter was harsh, followed by a warm and rainy spring. Flowering proved difficult and the vines faced an attack of mildew. A series of storms in July threatened the health of the grapes, but August turned out to be absolutely perfect.

Despite an unfortunate hailstorm that hit Hautvillers, Verzenay and Chouilly on September 4th, the harvest began on September 12th under truly idyllic conditions. The grapes were in perfect health, with superlative maturity and incredible aromatic expression.

      Country France

      Tasting Notes

      Nose

Initial aromas of rosemary, rose, orange oil and saffron, followed by strong bouquets of red fruit (raspberry and cherry), then touches of blackcurrant liquor and fig and ending with notes of gingerbread and licorice.

      Palate

The fruit is majestic, ripe, fleshy and profound. After a markedly smooth and round initial mouthfeel, the wine nestles in the heart of the palate. Then the fruit becomes more intense, rounding the sensation, and what remains on the back palate is about consistency. 56% PINOT NOIR & 44% CHARDONNAY
