Ancho Reyes is the original ancho chile liqueur, inspired by a 1920s recipe from Puebla de Zaragoza. Influenced by the old-world liqueurs that made their way to Mexico, Ancho Reyes evokes a sense of timelessness with the nostalgic flavors of Mexico.
Every hand-labeled bottle of Ancho Reyes Barrica contains the essence of three to four chiles grown by Mexican farmers in the fertile volcanic soil in Puebla. The chiles used to make Ancho Reyes are hand-picked when they are perfectly ripe, then sun-dried. Next, the chiles are combined with pure sugar cane spirit and left to macerate for six months, hand-blended with a selection of ingredients, then aged in American white oak barrels for over two years. This transforms the liqueur into something new, with rich flavors of dulce de leche, spiced vanilla, cinnamon, and orange zest on top of signature warm chili heat.
- A unique Mexican chile liqueur born in Puebla, Mexico and inspired by a 100-year-old menjurje recipe. - Made with only the highest quality matured, sun-dried, and hand-picked Ancho chiles (sundried Poblano chiles) and aged in American white oak barrels for over two years - Creates rich flavors of dulce de leche, spiced vanilla, cinnamon, and orange zest on top of signature warm chili heat - Enjoy Ancho Reyes Barrica neat or on the rocks. Or add elegance, texture, and richness to any cocktail, such as a Spicy Margarita, Spicy Paloma, Old Fashioned or a Daiquiri.
