Two James Barrel Reserve Old Cockney Gin - Main
Two James Barrel Reserve Old Cockney Gin

      Beyond the Label

Two James is located in Corktown, Detroit’s oldest neighborhood, and is the first licensed distillery in Detroit since Prohibition. Two James is committed to producing only the highest quality environmentally conscious handmade spirits utilizing locally sourced agricultural products with the aim of revitalizing the community and reinforcing the craft product movement.

Just like our Old Cockney Gin we use a proprietary blend of botanicals and an all organic wheat base.  We then rest our gin in new American oak barrels for a minimum of 6 months before we bottle.  The oak aging adds a very subtle toasted vanilla note and accentuates the citrus peel. Martinez drinkers beware, you have never met it’s equal.

      Tasting Notes

      Flavor

Starts with our earthy yet traditional style gin.

      Finish

The oak aging gives the gin its golden straw color and builds upon Old Cockney’s complex flavor profile, transmuting the deep earthy notes into bright nutmeg and vanilla with just a hint of tannin.
