The result is a superior tasting whisky with notes of dried fruit, buttery shortbread and oak spice, leading to an exceptionally smooth and well-balanced finish. Enjoy The Famous Grouse neat, on ice, or in a classic cocktail like the Hot Toddy, Penicillin or Scotch and Soda.

Origins

The Famous Grouse story starts in 1896 when Mathew Gloag brought together a team with the perfect blend of skill and passion to create the perfect blend of malt and grain whiskies. Intended as a reward for outdoorsmen after a day of hunting in the Scottish Highlands, they named it “The Grouse.” In short time it became so popular it was renamed “The Famous Grouse.”
