Origins

The first iteration of Royal Salute came in 1953, to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, and since that time Royal Salute has been enthroned as a Scotch of great distinction, the only one in the world to commence with blends that require a minimum barrel age of 21 years. Fine whisky improves with age as fine airborne droplets of the precious liquid vanish through evaporation, and Royal Salute has drawn upon the Strathisla Distillery’s treasure trove of aged Scotch to create masterpieces of the blender’s art.
