Our first vintage, 2013, is arguably the finest year for grapes in the Napa Valley in over 50 years. Little rain, early bud-break, and smaller fruit brought about concentrated flavor and significant structure. Under the gentle guidance of our talented winemaker, Jason Holman, Ondulé limited production wines are a tribute to the weather and natural wonders of California.

• 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot

• Grapes sourced from Coombsville, AVA

• 100% neutral French Oak, aged 24 months

Notes of Scent & Flavor

  • Aroma

Freshly melted chocolate mixes into a Black Forest cake. The bright fruits of Merlot become apparent as the wine opens, combining with the chocolate into black currants, with hints of sage and plum reduction.
  • Palate

Well integrated tannins provide the smooth, structured mouthfeel of Cabernet Sauvignon which hangs on through the finish, accented with a slightly white pepper spice - compliments of the Petit Verdot.
  • Pairings

This bold wine is best enjoyed with a main course of red meat like steak, pasta bolognaise and is also a wonderful accompaniment to hors d’oeuvres platters serving strong, aged cheeses (gouda, cheddar) and rich peppery charcuterie (bresaola, salami).

“Ondulé is a timeless collection of wines to be enjoyed together on any occasion.”

Origins

Ondulé Wines, the passion project of a 4th generation California family, was conceived in Los Angeles and born in Napa Valley. Our love of wine and recognition of its role in the family inspired us to create a brand we could all appreciate together. In Ondulé, we combine the old-world wine making techniques with the best new world grapes available, sourced from different vineyards. This meticulous selection allows us to create a custom crush resulting in a timeless collection of wines we are proud to make our next family tradition.
