Notes of Scent & Flavor

  • Flavor

Harmonious with dense, soft and mature tannins, balanced acidity and a lingering, moderately austere finish.

“The softness of the Umbrian Sangiovese meets the fiery character of Sagrantino, in this beautifully structured red.” - Francesco Zaganelli

Origins

Rosso di Montefalco is softer and easier to drink than Sagrantino, thanks to the varietals included in the blend; it has its own DOC appellation. On the label is a view of the Montefalco winery and in the foreground, a falcon, symbol of the area, where traditionally falcon hunting, the great passion of Emperor Frederick II of Swabia, was practiced.
