Horse Soldier® Commander's Select Bourbon

HORSE SOLDIER^® COMMANDERS SELECT is an outstanding and award-winning limited annual release  (Double Gold Medal - San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2019). Commanders Select barrels are meticulously chosen by both Commander and Chief Warrant Officer of Special Forces ODA  Team 595. This year’s release is a Kentucky  Straight Bourbon at 13 years old; an age favored for its complexity and mellow finish,  though the “angels” have undeniably taken their share. Commanders Select is non-chill filtered and bottled at barrel strength to ensure the most authentic whiskey drinking experience. This is the third annual release of  Commanders Select. 

Horse Soldier^® Commanders Select is curated by the U.S. Army Green Berets who answered America’s call days after 9/11 with a daring insertion, on horseback, into northern Afghanistan. This brave and unconventional act earned them the moniker of “Horse Soldiers”. Our team has been featured in the Hollywood movie 12 Strong, the CNN documentary Legion of Brothers, and memorialized by America’s Response  Monument located at Ground Zero in New York City. 

Each bottle package includes a signed dispatch directed to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld from Commander Mark Nutsch of Operational Detachment Alpha Team 595. A serial numbered Commander's Challenge Coin is included as well as the Commander's Report.
