      Beyond the Label

Massive prehistoric glaciers dug a broad gorge in the porphyry massif between the Ortler Alps and the Dolomites and created the Adige River and Lake Caldaro, which is fed by groundwater. Soils are made up of light marl. Vines average 30+ years old.

The grapes are lightly pressed and the must is clarified using natural sedimentation, after which it is fermented at a controlled temperature and aged shortly in 100% stainless steel.
