The spice of Alsace and one of Famille Hugel’s signature wines. It is both aromatic and extroverted through its floral and spicy notes. Gewurztraminer is an invitation to accompany a variety of spicy Asian dishes as well as smoked salmon and strong cheeses.

From the winemaker: Promisingly attractive color, intense, young and lively with hints of pale green and straw yellow, it is bright and clear with unctuous tears that indicate a full body. Soft, aromatic, scented bouquet, showing opulence and body, flowers and fruit and spice. Dry on the palate, but round, soft, nicely harmonious and mouth-filling, with a long, rich agreeably aromatic finish.

Bottle Size: 750ml

  • Flavor

Floral, spicy, musk, tingling baking spices, bitter honey edge

"Light gold hue with lovely scents of lychee, mango and yellow flowers. Balanced flavors of white fruit are as dry as Gewurztraminer can be in keeping with Hugel's always-classic styling."

Known today for their passion and modern outlook, the dynamic Hugel family, located in the picture-postcard fortified village of Riquewihr, has earned a worldwide reputation for their Alsace wines. From Hugel’s Grossi Laüe to Vendange Tardive, their wines are released only when the family agrees they are ready; the focus is ultimate quality. A first-time taste of these wines is a revelation.
