Origins
Taking its name from the Italian term for “of the vine”, the first joint venture between the sisters sees them partnered with a third-generation wine making family whose winery is based in the Prosecco region of Valdobbiadene, Northern Italy, within a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Della Vite fuses the latest technology with traditional production methods to produce high-quality, vegan-certified wines that capture the untold story of Prosecco’s heritage, craft and provenance.
Two bespoke wines have been created, combining an extra-long secondary fermentation and a unique selection of yeast strains for delicious, smooth bubbles and a distinctive, fresh taste. With hints of crostini and chamomile, Della Vite Prosecco Superiore DOCG is made exclusively from hand-picked Glera grapes and sits alongside the clean and bright Della Vite Prosecco Treviso DOC, which is perfect for mixing in cocktails. Both products are skilfully crafted with complex taste profiles.
Launched in late summer 2020, the wines have been widely acclaimed by Michelin starred restaurants, the world’s best bars and the media. Della Vite Prosecco Superiore DOCG also won a gold in The Drinks Business Autumn Tasting 2020, after being blind tasted by three Masters of Wine.
