Barton & Guestier "Petite Nancy" White Bordeaux

      Beyond the Label

Barton & Guestier Bordeaux White (Blanc) “Petite Nancy”, is white wine made in France in the Bordeaux appellation. It is named after Daniel Guestier’s daughter, la Petite Nancy” was a famous ship exporting B&G wine throughout the world. This wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, two traditional grape varieties of Bordeaux’s region. Come from Entre Deux Mers, part of its blend is cultivated under biodynamic principles, allowing a fuller expression of the terroir. Additionally, it is important to mention that this wine is made by Florence Tessier, our woman winemaker.

      Vegan Friendly

50% vinified on oak, 50% in vats.

      Winery Notes

      Tasting Notes

Straw yellow with green highlights colors. Intense and complex nose of tropical fruits aromas (mango, passion fruit, pineapple) and vanilla notes. Nice lively and rich attack with a citrus note on the aftertaste.

      Vintage Notes

The 2021 growing season in Bordeaux was characterized by a cool and wet spring, which led to a delayed start to the growing season. However, summer temperatures were warm and sunny, which helped to bring the grapes to optimal ripeness. The harvest started later than usual, but the overall quality of the grapes was very good, with excellent sugar and acidity levels.

      Vineyard Notes

      Winemaking Notes

Skin contact maceration – low temperature fermentation.
