These botanicals are picked at varying times of the year, and can only be picked when it’s dry—a frequent challenge on Islay! Our dedicated Scottish foragers then carefully and meticulously dry all of the botanicals in order to be infused during our slow, simmer distillation process.

This incredible attention to detail is to ensure we give our artisanal spirit the best chance it can to embody a unique flavor profile that yields a gin that is both beautifully complex and elegantly smooth. Origins

Bruichladdich is an award-winning distillery employing generations of distilling knowledge and the principle of minimal intervention.

Built in 1881 on the wild Scottish island of Islay, our distillery still uses the original Victorian equipment to create a range of artisanal single malt whiskies and a botanical gin that are all trickle distilled and bottled solely on Islay by a skilled team of 78 men and women.

Diversity starts in the field. Provenance is key. We believe the interaction of man, land, soil and climate is paramount. We value our farmer relationships, reconnecting that lost cycle between farmer and distiller -- land and spirit.

Featured Cocktail Recipe

Spring Loaded

Ingredients

2 oz. The Botanist® Gin
½ oz. Cucumber Syrup
4 oz. Bitter Lemon Tonic Water
1 pinch (for garnish) Wild Hibiscus Pyramid Salt
3 (for garnish) Pink Peppercorns

Recipe

  1. Chill Gin and Tonic Glass (or Collins Glass) by placing in fridge/freezer or by filling with ice water and setting aside for 5 minutes (optional).
  2. Measure and add gin and cucumber syrup to cobbler shaker.
  3. Fill shaker with ice, place top of cobbler shaker back on the shaker, and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
  4. Remove the glass from fridge/freezer or if using ice water, empty the glass.
  5. Fill the glass with ice and strain shaken cocktail into the glass.
  6. Top with measured amount of Bitter Lemon Tonic Water.
  7. Garnish with a pinch of wild hibiscus pyramid salt and 3 pink peppercorns.
