Sorel’s unique taste is full of rich and robust flavors, beautifully highlighting the spices and botanicals which yields a delicate mouth feel. Sorel is so very versatile that I wanted to focus on the spice notes while showcasing the vibrant hibiscus flavor. The cinnamon and ginger play nicely with the spice notes and round out the flavor profile, while the pineapple provides a special sweetness along with the aged rum adding to the spice and fruit flavors.

Ingredients

½ oz. Sorel Liqueur
1 ½ oz. Aged Rum
½ oz. Pineapple Juice
½ oz. Cinnamon Simple Syrup*
Top With Ginger Beer
1 Lime Wheel (Garnish)

Recipe

  1. Combine all ingredients minus ginger beer.
  2. Stir to incorporate.
  3. Add ice.
  4. Stir to chill.
  5. Top with ginger beer.
  6. Garnish with a lime.
  7. *To make cinnamon simple syrup: Cook down 1 cup of sugar in 1 cup of water. Add 3 cinnamon sticks and cook until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Cool and store. No need to strain.
